Rotary Attendance Rules Rotary attendance rules, in summary, are as follows. Each Rotarian must attend at least 60% of the number of his/her Club’s scheduled regular meetings, and to be counted as “present” must attend at least 60% of the meeting itself, i.e., “early leaving” is discouraged. The Rotarian can “make up” for a missed meeting within 14 days on either side of the missed date by attending: · The meeting of any other Rotary Club, Rotaract or Interact Club, · A convention of RI, · An international or district assembly or district conference, or any other meeting held by RI or the District Governor or Intercity Meeting of several Rotary Clubs, or is present at the time and place of another Club’s regular meeting for the purpose of attending and that Club is not meeting; or · A meeting of the Club’s board or a committee meeting that has been designated by the Club as acceptable as a makeup meeting, all provided that appropriate evidence is provided to the Club’s Board that such makeup took place. If out of the If the combined years in Rotary and years of age of the Rotarian are equal to 85 years or more, then, upon request to the Board of Directors, these attendance requirements will be waived.
