Hands-on Service Projects

Our club focuses on both providing financial support to non-profit organizations far and wide as well as hands-on service as we are able at various sites around the area.  Frequently spearheaded by our Hands-On Service Committee, our recent efforts have included:
Sunnyland Memorial Park Clean-Up

A staple of our Hands-On Service Committee work, we have been spending a Saturday before Memorial Day cleaning up the park and monuments for the upcoming Memorial Day remembrances. We reflect on the sacrifice so many of our fellow community members have made as we weed, clean, and get the park in tip-top shape alongside volunteers from the City of Bellingham.
Community Boating Center Spring Cleaning and Organization

The Community Boating Center is our major project award recipient in 2022, so it was only fitting that we give them a hand in getting ready for spring! We organized lifejackets and wetsuits, cleaned the boat yard, got the classroom ready, and made a lot of great community connections!
Bell Ringing with the Salvation Army

You can count on our members taking a Saturday shift to ring bells for the Salvation Army during the Holidays. We bring a lot of spirit and it isn’t unusual to see us caroling or playing instruments (especially when the Rotary Brass stops by!), and generally bringing good spirit as we raise funds for the Salvation Army and all the extra help they provide local families during the holidays.

JOIN US for an upcoming service project!

You don’t have to be a member to join in on our service projects! We hold 10-12 a year, so there is almost always something coming up and we always appreciate the extra hands. Families are also welcome!
