Speaker:  Dan Tucker, Executive Director:  Working Waterfront Coalition of Whatcom County

Mission:  To promote the economic benefits and vitality of a working waterfront to the people of Whatcom County.

"Dan Tucker studied multimedia arts before sailing tallships and starting a maritime career. After obtaining licensing and certifications as captain and sailing both coasts and abroad, he finished his maritime career in south east Alaska. He worked in trades afterward, inspecting marine fire equipment and suppression systems. Now he heads up the Working Waterfront Coalition, where he advocates for the maritime trades and opportunities that benefit our region. He lives in Fairhaven with his wife, and serves on the boards for the Whatcom Maritime Heritage Museum, as well as Bellingham SeaFeast."
