Title:  Men’s Low Intensity Residential 1 Year Anniversary (Recovery House)

This was our 2019-2020 Major Project where we raised $100,000.

November 20 - Update on Recovery House (speakers are Greg Winter, Executive Director, Whatcom Opportunity Council, Andrea Brooks, President and CEO, Lifeline Connections and Jennifer Logan, VP & Residential Coordinator).  Although they are in charge of the building, the actual on-site management of the program is by Lifeline, so it will be a joint presentation.  Greg is the liaison with Lifeline.

Bios:  Jennifer Logan LASW, LMHC, SUDP, Chief Clinical Officer with Lifeline Connections. Jennifer holds a master’s degree in social work and public administration. Her career began in mental health outpatient on PACT and then transitioned to Program Director for SUD residential where she remained at Lifeline for six years. From there her career expanded to Director of Risk and Quality for a psychiatric hospital and prior to returning to Lifeline, Executive Director for Ridgefield Recovery. Jen returned to Lifeline in 2021. When she is not working, she is busy with her three children and husband of 14 years. Weekends are spent attending her three children’s sporting events (soccer, football, wrestling). When it is not raining, she spends her time camping and boating.

Greg Winter is Executive Director of Opportunity Council, a Community Action Agency in Bellingham dedicated to helping people improve their lives. Prior to leading the agency, he was OC’s Homeless Service Center Director. Before joining OC in 2008, he was President and Research Director of Cornerstone Strategies, a community development planning firm.  He was a co-founder of Kulshan Community Land Trust in 1999, and was honored with the Washington Low-Income Housing Alliance’s Advocate of the Year Award in 2013 for his part in helping to establish the Bellingham Home Fund. He earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental policy from Huxley College, and, a master’s degree in natural resource economics from Michigan State University. Today he lives in Bellingham’s York neighborhood with his wife, Amanda, who is a special education teacher.
